Talavera (Spain)

With a population of 85,000 inhabitants Talavera de la Reina is one of the most important cities of Castilla La Mancha. Its proximity to Madrid and its proximity to Toledo make the city a strategic enclave in the west of the Iberian peninsula.

The Talavera City Council has led in recent years different projects and initiatives within the framework of the economic and territorial policies of the European Union. These include the URBAN PLAN and the LEARDER PROGRAM.

On the other hand, the city of Talavera maintains important links with different European cities. At the moment it is twinned with the Italian city of Faenza and with the French city of Bron. The relationships of this twinning emerge from artistic pottery as a living cultural heritage shared by the three cities.
